Soccer superstar Lionel Messi reportedly has an offer from Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal that could be worth up to $300 million per year. Messi’s father and agent, Jorge, is rumored to have traveled to Riyadh to negotiate a deal.
Messi’s contract with Paris Saint-Germain, which pays him $54.2 million over two years plus a $27.1 million signing bonus, expires this summer. There have been previous reports that Messi had agreed to re-sign with PSG, but these have since been denied.
Messi also signed a deal last May to promote tourism in Saudi Arabia.
Another possibility for Messi’s next club destination is the MLS, with Inter Miami, co-owned by David Beckham, expressing interest in signing him.
Messi has previously stated he is interested in playing in the US before his career is over.
