Jaden Rashada, a highly-rated quarterback prospect in the 2023 class, has been released from his national letter of intent with the University of Florida and is now free to sign with another team, according to ESPN.
The release comes after a reported $13 million name, image, and likeness package fell through. State laws in Florida prohibit universities from providing or arranging NIL compensation, so these deals are typically made through third parties.
Rashada was the highest-rated signee in the Gators’ 2023 class in December, and his release makes him the highest-ranked uncommitted prospect in the class.
National Signing Day is on February 1st.
